My name is Shun Polo.I am one of the descendent of Marco Polo.I might be out out of silk in about two years but, I don't want to take any chances. I am traveling down the Silk Road to get silk and other valuable things for my shop in Venice, Italy. It is the break of dawn outside. My crew Venny sister), Jardel (brother),Keshon (cousin),Tyree (friend),and Betty (mother) and I are traveling by camel. My first stop is in Chang'an, were we will buy 25% of our materials for the shop.
Friday, March 11, 419 A.D.
Chang'an
We have been in Chang'an for about two hours.We are on our way to the market.Hopefully the merchants' shops will be open.Chang'an is a very beautiful place.The people are very beautful and have Buddhist symbols on their buildings and clothes. I learned that Chang'an is also known as Xian and the people there practice Buddhism. Another thing is that Chang'an was one of the the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China because it has been the capital of 13 dynasties.Chang'an is the central place where the most culture of their poeple is reprsented. It was an important centre of Buddhism.
Oh, I see people caring goods and other materials. They may be on there way to the market to trade.I'm goin to follow them and see.
Yes,I was right. They were on there way to the market. I think if I was to have to find the market, it would have taken me all day.We're here now though.They have have some very beautiful silk materials.

We have bought some a couple of very beautiful materials. We also, stopped and got something to eat and some spices too. The food was surprisingly every delicous. The spices smell dilecous.

Samarkand
I have been in Samarkand for about a month and a half I got another 25% of my materials from here.I learned that Samarkand is the second-largest city in Uzbekistan and the capital of Samerqand Province.The city is abundantly supplied wih not only food alone, but of silks, satins, gauzes, tafetas, velvets, and other things.While I was in Samarkand I traded two camels for 10 rolls of silk.Before about to leave I traded 2 gold coins for spices and two rolls of silk.
My last night in Smarkand, one of my crew members got killed (Awndray).He was walking outside when a robber suck up behind him. They took 50 gold coins and one of our camels.It was a very bad day for us because Awndray was like a leader to us.
Saturday, June 2,419 A.D.
Kashgar
Morning
I have just made it to Kashgar. It is very hot, but I am use to the heat.While I am here I want to trade for wheat, maize, barley, and cotton. I also what to get more camels or horses.It is still very early so, I want to explore the town.
Afternoon
I have been walking around Kashgar for about 3 hours.As I was walking around Kashgar, I noticed that many people had horses on sale. I am very exhausted and thirsty. I think that I need to find somewhere for my crew and I to stay tonight.
Night
It is very dark outside and many rodents are starting to come out.I t is also getting a little cold.I am about to go and take a bath then I am goin to go and get some rest for in the morning.

Instanbul
Morning
This is my last stop that I am going to take along the Silk Road.It is very early and I'm still not fully awoke. I am about 10 minutes away from from getting there.
Afternoon
I am just ariving in Instanbul. I am stopping here because I want to get as much silk and spices as I can before I head home. I learned that Instanbul is the largest city in Turkey.
We are walking around the city now. I am about to stop at a store named Amazing Silk Trade. I see alot of beautiful silk. I am going to buy 10 rolls of it because I want to go to another store call Chilli Spices and buy some more spices.
We have bought many spices and a lot of silk.My crew and I are about to head back home so I can reopen my shop and see my beautiful children La'Shawntai, Te'Shawntai, Jaylon, DeShawn, Kejaun, and Jaquan. Also to get back and see my loving husban Antoine.

I am so happy!We have finally made it home. I am just in time for my son Kejuan's birthday. He is turning 6.
